An International Festival of Unusual Theater

The Puppets in the Green Mountains festival started in 1997 in collaboration with the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center, with whom it partnered for the first two editions. The 1999, 2001, and 2003 festivals were also created in partnership with Figures of Speech theatre in Portland, Maine and in two of those years with the University of Connecticut Puppetry Arts Program.

Past festivals have brought in performers from Argentina, Bulgaria,  Chile, France, Germany, Hungary, Spain, Sweden and the coming 2006 festival looks forward to performers from as far away as Cambodia.
